ABOUT: As the pandemic drags on, there are times when we feel we’re on hold, waiting, anticipating, in purgatory. Sophia and I were both masked for this session and this image, for me, speaks depths of how we were feeling. The painting can be interpreted on many levels.

ABOUT: My model is very active. She runs and rock climbs. It is evident in the strength of her body, and in the confident stride. The pose is about movement, transition, and passing through. The angel image with the mirror speaks to us about the ephemeral nature of life. The image is intended to bring us to contemplate this all too quickly passing life.
