ABOUT: My model performs burlesque, so has a great expressive range. She talked about how each costume or prop transforms and changes the performer. This led to the butterfly wings and the idea of metamorphosis.
ABOUT: I’m interested by the suggestion of movement, and how to present that in a drawing. Undressing is the perfect gesture to portray that where there is figure and an object, here an item of clothing. This is drawing 1 of a set of 3, though each drawing can stand alone.
MEDIUM: Lumograph pencil, colored pencil, and pastel on paper.

DESCRIPTION: The title refers to the forward bend pose, the folds in the fabric, and the folds of flesh. Very pinup-like, yet still a sexy pose. The drawing turned out well, I think.
