About: I knew Tito’s body with its excellent back musculature would be right for this image – the angel of the legs relating to the legs of the ironing board, and the angels of the arms, all contribute to an understated dynamic. The play on words for the title was an obvious choice.

About: I find this a very sassy pose. The zebra mask perfectly complements Julia’s slim, streamlined body. The mask and pose are intended to be light and whimsical. The drawing has great appeal.

About: Lily’s strong body and focused mind are perfect for this image of constant vigilance. The ‘woke’ movement and other cultural/social issues were much a part of our discussions during the sessions. The boxing gloves are just right in communicating the struggles we must each confront.

About: There’s appears to be a definite narrative here, but each viewer can create that for him or herself. My model was in the midst of a difficult relationship issue at the time of our session. She posed with a variety of ‘weapons’ like the bat as well as an axe. Did her emotional state contribute to the poses?
