DESCRIPTION: I’ve been working with J for some years. She’s a beautiful person in the full meaning of the word. I’ve drawn and painted her many times, and occasionally, like here, have done a simple portrait drawing.
DESCRIPTION: An artful pose from an artful model. It’s classical and a bit provocative. I like the play between the darks of the leggings, corset, and hair.
DESCRIPTION: My model brought a transparent poncho-like dress to our session, so it seemed a great opportunity to challenge my skills in rendering the fabric. The figure exposed and veiled is a wonderful, and well explored, theme.
About: Leah has been one of my regular models for years, and is a sheer pleasure to work with. She has a well-proportioned strong body, and the steady calm of her personality comes through in Morning. The modest-sized drawing was one of a series that suggested a yoga-like morning practice before a rising sun.
About: I knew when first seeing this Scaramouche mask that Julia would be the right model to wear it. This was one of many studies I did with the mask and model in a variety of poses. With Julia, every pose is great.
