ABOUT: The pose is based on a painting by another artist, Balthus. It’s very voyeuristic, yet has an eloquent classicism. The pose is seemingly simple, yet the composition is quite complex. I like the way the title and pose come together. This is a painted sketch for a larger painting.

ABOUT: Our session was very much a collaboration. We created poses and used props that expressed my model’s identity, personal life, and how he chooses to be seen.

ABOUT: A similar age to my model, we shared much on the experience and one’s identity with aging. We decided upon a series of poses using a blindfold and spiked collar. The viewer may interpret this as he/she chooses.
