DESCRIPTION: My model, A, embodies the steampunk image in the way she dresses and presents herself. She loves the fantasy element that it offers. Responsive to my models, their interests and what they bring to a session, I wish to bring this into the art that I create.
DESCRIPTION: I’ve been working with J for some years. She’s a beautiful person in the full meaning of the word. I’ve drawn and painted her many times, and occasionally, like here, have done a simple portrait drawing.
DESCRIPTION: This such a sassy pose. The hat and dress work perfectly together, too. There’s something both formal and cheeky about all the elements that make up this image.
DESCRIPTION: A yukata is a Japanese robe, usually worn in summer. Made of cotton, it a comfortable to wear and often comes in these fascinating design. I love this simple yet dramatic pattern, and used it to challenge myself with the intricacies of drawing it. I like my model, too.
DESCRIPTION: She rests on a circular window sill, and the form suggested a moon. Hence the title. I love the relaxed, lounging pose. She’s so at ease with herself.
