ABOUT: Ours is a time of almost immediate gratification. Our senses and desires are easily fulfilled through accessible media and speedy services. Our material needs and wants are rapidly delivered. Of course, there is a burden that comes with this, especially to the environment. Maybe we’re also loosing that ability to delay gratification, to wait for something that may be more fulfilling, something more lasting that a material object.
ABOUT: Political and social issues are forever messy and need clarification. The are controversial and subject to discussion, debate, and argument. We may never fully arrive at universal agreement. They are laborious and need ironing out.
ABOUT: A circle is unity, completeness, wholeness. A circle represents the self. A circle is always in motions. Our experience of self never remains fixed; it keeps shifting moment yo moment, yet the feeling of being in oneself brings that feeling of being at ease. We are forever seeking this place.
ABOUT: Strong. Confident. In charge. She fully knows herself, and she knows how to get what she wants. I love the boldness of this image. The choice of color was evident.
ABOUT: There is something feisty about American women. They’ve had to work hard to assert themselves into a resistant culture; to be respected, accepted, and recognized. Their work is far, far from over, but we (both men and women) have come a long way in a relative short amount of time.
