DESCRIPTION: This painting came after a series In did on the 7 Deadly Sins. I saw how much consumes us, and the burden of material objects impacts our lives. I’m presenting the weight of consumerism here, though I wish to show this in a lighthearted, almost humorous painting.

DESCRIPTION: She is an entertainer, performing a wide variety of skills from burlesque, ballet, fire dancing, etc, etc. Every movement, and every fascial gesture is deliberate and considered. I love to work with this kind of model.

DESCRIPTION: I’ve been working with this model for years. She’s a beautiful person in the full meaning of the word. I’ve drawn and painted her many times, and occasionally, like here, have done a simple portrait drawing.

DESCRIPTION: A bright white shirt is classic, and so deserves a more classical approach to the drawing and composition. I wanted to keep it very simple, clean, and refined.
